Description
The State of the Heart program has been specifically designed for family physicians, specialists, nurse practitioners, nurses, pharmacists, technicians, and other allied health professionals who have an interest in cardiovascular disease and diabetes. This program covers the latest topics in cardiovascular and metabolic disease, guidelines, late-breaking clinical trial results, and addresses patient care issues encountered in daily practice.

Session 1
- Explore the importance of ejection fraction in the management of heart failure
- Describe appropriate management strategies and therapies for heart failure in 2023
- Recognize the role of newer treatments to improve outcomes for patients with chronic kidney disease
- Examine the appropriate use of medication to support patients with obesity
Session 2
- Identify the long-term impact of PCSK9 inhibitors on CV mortality
- Define the role of inclisaran in lipd management
- Describe when and how to use Lp(a) for risk assessment
- Describe the role of inflammation on CV outcomes and management options
