Relating Evidence to Achieve Cholesterol Targets

The Canadian Cardiovascular Research Network (CCRN) invites you to participate in an important Canadian Practice Assessment in dyslipidemia.

The primary objective

To facilitate the identification and management of patients with high residual CV risk attributable to LDL-C.

What you can expect

Education covering best practices and latest evidence in lipid management of high risk patients through a live WebEx investigator meeting

Prospective enrolment of approximately 10 patients from your practice. (competitive enrolment)

Facilitate achievement of cholesterol targets in your high-risk patients.


$700 per enrolled patient (3 visits over 6 months)

180 physicians from across Canada and will enroll 1800 high-risk patients

Patient Inclusion Criteria

  • - Patients of 18 years of age with documented atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease (ASCVD) or familial hypercholesterolemia (FH)
  • - LDL-C level within past 3 months ≥3.0 mmol/L despite maximally tolerated statin treatment
  • - Willingness to give informed consent

Exclusion Criteria

  • - Current use of PCSK9 inhibitors
  • - Co-morbidities with anticipated life expectancy < 12 months

Complete the site interest and evaluation form.

Each physician investigator must complete a brief lipid management survey. Estimated time to complete < 5 minutes.

Submit a pre-screening log identifying a minimum of 5 eligible patients from your practice.

Once you have completed the above 3 steps CCRN will confirm your acceptance into the REACT Practice Assessment program.
